Associate Business Development Manager (Boston)

We are looking for our next rock star to join the AMP Business Development team. Our agency is growing and we are continuing to chase new and exciting leads by the day! As one of our team members, you will be tasked with leading and/or supporting new business leads from start to finish. As soon as we kick off, you’ll become an absolute expert on this brand and industry. You will create a game plan for RFP, guide the pitch team in developing our response, and ensure all deliverables are completed on time and look flawless. You will work collaboratively with representatives from every department to create unique, custom thinking for pitches in order to stand out from the competition. You’ll be working alongside amazing team members all working toward the same goal: WINNING.

  • Understand all aspects of the world of advertising and digital marketing, specifically creative and media
  • Have a general understanding of/interest in sales and business development
  • Have experience building out presentation decks and understand what it means to develop a cohesive, seamless story
  •  Have an eye for design (specifically in keynote)
  •  Can think strategically about a marketing challenge
  • Understand how to work effectively with many different personality types and skill sets
  • Are okay with sometimes wearing many hats – whatever it takes to get the job done!
  •  Feel the adrenaline of a new business pitch

Required background/skills:

  • 2-4 years experience in an ad agency environment (very open to different types of agency backgrounds – account management, production, media, strategy, analytics, etc.)
  • Have led or supported cross-functional projects (new business or client projects) from start to finish, ability to lead group discussions, brainstorms and meetings
  • General project management experience
  • Strong knowledge of keynote and powerpoint

Nice to have: 

  • Experience in new business/business development setting
  • Experience in prospecting/outreach and qualifying leads
  • General understanding of developing pricing/staff plans or writing scopes of work
  • Trained in adobe creative suite
  • Experience in strategy planning or research – understanding of tools like Mintel and Simmons
  •  Completed 4A’s IAAS program
