Analytics Manager (NYC)

AMP is seeking a Manager to join its Measurement & Analytics practice.  A Manager is an experienced analyst and consultant, with a background in data, business marketing and strategic analysis.  In this role you will provide analytic services in support of our clients’ marketing efforts to make their programs smarter and more impactful.  You will maximize our clients’ return on marketing investment through ongoing program measurement, disciplined in-market testing, and results-based performance management. 

Essential Functions:

  • Provide day-to-day management of workload across multiple clients
  • Assist junior team members with their career and skills development
  • Provide analytic services to both AMP’s clients and internal teams
  • Create holistic dashboards, encompassing paid, earned, and owned channels, by consolidating data from a variety of sources for presentations to operational and senior management teams
  • Analyze reporting information to identify anomalies and trends in the reporting and provide insight into the influences of such occurrences
  • Work with a cross functional team to identify opportunities for optimization of marketing efforts and provide recommendations to improve performance
  • Conduct primary and secondary research on best practices and market trends
  • Understand core client objectives and key metrics across all digital media
  • Seek ways to optimize the reporting process and to add value to the end user
  • Partner with technical resource to guide and QA the implementation of measurement solutions
  • Develop and maintain fluency in relevant interactive technologies
  • Assist VP, Measurement & Analytics with identification and cultivation of new business opportunities

Typical Deliverables/Duties:

  • Comprehensive measurement and analysis plans
  • Weekly, monthly reports (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Development of dashboards  and reports for operational and senior level clients
  • Website behavior and customer experience analysis
  • Data consolidation and validation
  • Coordinating tags, tracking parameter implementations
  • Lead creation and completion of Multivariate and A/B testing documents (e.g., hypothesis creation, identifying success metrics, definition of technical specifications) and post test analysis
  • Effective and persuasive presentations (verbal and written) for project teams and business leaders

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Statistics, Economics, or Marketing
  • 4-6 years of professional experience in direct marketing, online marketing, advertising, or consulting.  Agency experience is a plus
  • Intellectually curious and a creative thinker
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative skills with proven data interpretation abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear and concise client-ready documents
  • Strong interpersonal skills.  Must be able to work well in a team environment, but  also independently
  • Demonstrated time management and project management skills
  • Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel a must
  • Experience with a digital analytics solution a must (e.g. SiteCatalyst, Webtrends, Google Analytics, DART, Atlas), Google Analytics expertise preferred.
  • Experience with one or more statistical analysis tools a plus (e.g. SAS, SPSS, Stata)
  • Experience with business intelligence and data visualization solutions (e.g. Tableau) a plus.
  • Experience with one or more relational database management systems (RDMS) a plus (e.g. Oracle, MS SQL Server)
