Search & Social Media Specialist (Boston)

The Search & Social Media Specialist plays an integral role in execution of paid social and paid search channels in outlining effective strategies and techniques for accounts, as well as implementing paid media disciplines, in addition to presenting recommendations and strategy to clients. This position will report into the Search & Social Media Supervisor. This role requires a strong understanding of paid social and paid search, as well as of all aspects of performance marketing, to effectively drive day-to-day tactical execution of the campaigns and continually exceed client expectations. To be successful in this position, an individual must be able to shift focus to different types of projects, a quick learner, and proficient with Excel and be able to work productively with various team members with minimal supervision.



  • Plan, manage, and execute paid social (Facebook/Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, Snapchat, Twitter) and paid search, including but not limited to account setup, strategy development, organization, and management.
  • Use statistical analysis to draw conclusions about marketing campaigns to provide insights, recommendations and areas of opportunity.
  • Manage day to day communication with client when needed for all things performance media-focused, including best practices, presentation decks and assisting with strategy plans
  • Own execution of deliverables for clients
  • Mentor and collaborate with Search & Social Media Coordinators to execute strategy
  • Monitor media trends, best practices and techniques to ensure account growth and identify new opportunities
  • Monitor competitors, own competitive research reports, and identify findings
  • Proactively research campaign issues and formulate actionable solutions


  • Self-motivated & ability to work autonomously
  • Ability to stay current on marketing trends, new opportunities, and industry changes
  • Successfully fulfill the client’s strategy by creating clear deliverables and recommendations
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Mastered understanding of reported metrics and what they mean
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, under tight deadlines
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, drive hard to completion, and deliver effective results


  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 1-3 years’ experience
  • Must have experience managing campaigns within Facebook & Instagram and Google
  • Experience managing campaigns on YouTube, Bing, Amazon, Walmart, Target, Snapchat, Twitter and LinkedIn is a plus
  • Must have experience with paid media platforms like Facebook Business & Ads Manager, Search Ads 360, DoubleClick Campaign Manager (DCM), Kenshoo or Marin is a plus
  • AdWords Certification (Fundamentals & Advanced) and Facebook Blueprint Certification is a plus
  • Advanced computer skills, proven proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
