Talent & Culture Manager (LA/Seattle)

We are searching for a Talent & Culture Manager to join our growing HR team. This person can be located in LA or Seattle.

in a fast-paced, innovative space.

 

As Talent & Culture Manager you will focus on the following:

Recruitment:

  • Create job specs, hiring processes and interview guides/questions for assigned, open positions
  • Pre-screen and screen candidates: ensure selected candidates pass relevant technical tests/pre-assessments and first run interviews
  • Coordinate the end-to-end interview process working with hiring managers across the organization; train hiring managers and committees on interview and selection process
  • Ensure an exceptional candidate interviewing experience; act as first point of contact for all requests regarding workplace dynamics, culture and transparency
  • Work with the Talent & Culture Coordinator to manage the candidate process in our applicant tracking system and HRIS
  • Develop new, innovative ways to message career opportunities to potential candidates, positioning Amp LA or Seattle as employers of choice
  • Serve as the hiring lead/point of contact and project manager for any external recruiter relationships
  • Compile necessary recruitment reporting for leadership

Onboarding:

  • Process all offer letters with necessary approvals at all levels of the organization and Advantage
  • Ensure all onboarding documents and paperwork are aligned/processed with Advantage in Oracle/ICIMs
  • Coordinate and lead Talent & Culture onboarding for all new hires
  • Schedule and lead 90-day check ins for new hires

Compliance:

  • Coordinate and lead onsite benefits overview for newly eligible employees working
  • closely with the VP, Talent & Culture
  • Answer questions related to benefits, plans and processing
  • Keep all HR records up to date and compliant

Employee Relations:

  • Meet with employees who have grievances and help provide advice and coaching, documenting all conversations and steps
  • Escalate complex employee relations scenarios to the VP, Talent & Culture

Employee Engagement:

  • Assist/advise the Talent & Culture Coordinator and Culture Council members by aligning necessary details and coordination for company events both on and offsite
  • Assist with the execution of engagement and cultural initiatives/programs/events using best practice strategies to promote a strong culture within Amp LA and Seattle
  • Act as a company cultural ambassador by increasing internal awareness around Amp LA and Seattle history, announcements, achievements, milestones, benefits/perks and overall general updates

Musts

  • 5-7 years HR experience (digital agency experience preferred)
  • A network of Seattle and/or LA advertising connections
  • An affinity for process improvement
  • General knowledge and experience of recruitment policies and practices
  • Familiarity with the use of social media as a recruitment tool
  • Experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and Human Resources Information System (HRIS)
  • Strong decision-making ability, discretion judgment and calmness under pressure
  • Proven ability to both anticipate and solve complex problems
  • Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to work autonomously
  • A sense of humor
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; superior writing, proofreading and editing skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Ability to prioritize and organize multiple projects in parallel; integrity; accountability.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
