If so, you might find yourself feeling right at home with a strategy and planning internship at AMP. We’re a creative-minded, data-driven group that turns consumer insights into actionable briefs and strategies for creatives and clients alike.

We’re looking for a college student or recent grad to join our strategy and planning team. Job responsibilities include:

  • Supporting brief development by scouring the news, trendwatching, marketing pubs, client documents, primary and secondary research, and more for interesting information about our clients, their industries and their consumers
  • Supporting competitive audits and social media monitoring and analysis efforts for a wide variety of clients
  • Researching and understanding how certain audiences consume and engage with media to inform media planning and digital strategy
  • Monitoring innovations in advertising/technology to help us inform breakthrough creative ideas and new ways to reach consumers 
  • Ongoing general trendwatching -- keeping us up to date on the latest and greatest trends both inside and outside of the advertising world
  • Ocassionally supporting the group in administrative endeavors


  • Student or recent graduate with a degree in marketing, advertising, communications, anthropology or relevant field.
  • Past marketing experience is a bonus, but not a requirement. It’s great if you have a basic understanding of how integrated agencies work and the role strategy plays within them.
  • Excellent writing and verbal communications skills -- the more buttoned up the better!
  • Creativity, curiosity and a passion for understanding how people interact with each other, with the world around them and with the brands that matter to them.
